The Higher Technician Expert in Agri-Food Chains is a professional figure capable of offering concrete responses to the current needs of the Agri-food System. This profile has been designed in collaboration with industry representatives, based on the prerequisites for employment in various areas of the supply chain: from production to processing to the commercialization of agri-food products. Having developed skills related to each phase of the product lifecycle, the Higher Technician Expert in Agricultural, Agri-Food, and Agro-Industrial Chains can design and manage herbaceous, horticultural, fruit, and food production activities, operating with full awareness of environmental situations and market trends, ensuring cost-effective processes and product quality. The new professional will know the agri-food sector in every detail; they will be able to manage and control production processes across the entire reference chain, evaluate raw materials, and select reliable and cost-effective suppliers; they will manage various quality certification systems and be an expert in food hygiene legislation; they will also facilitate integration between the different chains such as chocolate, beer, poultry, meat production and derivatives, dairy, cereal, fruit and vegetable, citrus, viticulture, and olive, understanding the product lifecycle, managing production processes and food quality, distribution networks, and the properties of individual markets on which to build appropriate marketing plans.

Recipients
The ITS Academy’s specialisation courses are aimed at young people and adults, including those in employment (who ensure that the compulsory attendance rate) who are unemployed or unemployed have one of the following diplomas
- Secondary education decree;
- Vocational decree obtained at the end of four-year courses in vocational education and training, supplemented by an IFTS course lasting one year.

- Consultancy for the production, transformation, conservation, and marketing of agri-food products;
- Management of small and medium-sized agricultural, agri-food, and agro-industrial companies.
Certificates and qualifications
- Higher Technician Diploma – EQF Level 5 accompanied by the Europass “Diploma Supplement”;
- Qualification for teaching in state schools in agrarian sciences and technology laboratories (competition class: B11);
- Completion of the internship period and admission to the qualifying examination for the profession of agricultural expert and graduated agricultural expert;
- European Computer Driving License (ICDL full)
- Foreign language certification;
- Additional certifications specific to the professional profile;
- Possible recognition of university training credits (CFU) according to the tables of confluence between learning outcomes in relation to the competences acquired at the end of the ITS path and the competences resulting from the degree courses assimilable to it.
Deadline for submission of applications
All interested parties, who meet the requirements, must submit their application for admission to the course no later than 30 September 2024, drawn up in simple paper based on the attached template
The candidate must sign the application and attach the following documents in pdf/jpg format:
- copy of a valid identification document;
- copy of tax code/health card
- copy of the diploma or equivalent declaration;
- for unemployed young people or adults: Declaration of Immediate Availability to work (DID) issued by the Employment Centre responsible for the territory;
- for young people or adults in employment: Service certification issued by your employer or VAT attribution certification
- per giovani o adulti occupati: Certificazione di servizio rilasciata dal proprio datore di lavoro o certificazione attribuzione P.IVA
- Privacy information document duly completed, dated and signed
